Middlebury Institute offers scholarship to graduate students, HBCU alumni

Beginning in the fall of 2021, the Middlebury Institute is offering its students who are HBCU alumni an annual $10,000 scholarship toward their graduate studies.

“The goal of offering this scholarship is to expand access to the Middlebury Institute to a broader group of students,” said Sadia Khan, director of admissions at the Institute. “The scholarship also helps support the Institute’s commitment to diversity.”

The Middlebury Institute of International Studies is a graduate school that offers 13 master’s degree programs, three joint degree programs, five joint bachelor’s/master’s degree programs, certificates, and professional development. Graduates will also be eligible for additional merit and need-based scholarships.

Once admissions requirements are met and it is confirmed that the student received a bachelor’s degree from a qualifying institution, he/she will be eligible for the scholarship. Applications for fall 2021 are currently being accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants should fill out this form to confirm their interest in the scholarship
