Howard University is proud to partner with the PSEG Foundation to offer scholarships to undergraduate environmental studies majors. The PSEG Scholars Program established at Howard University is designed to support students from communities previously underrepresented in environmental science and clean energy research, yet overrepresented in areas that battle the highest levels of environmental pollution.
“We are proud to have worked with the leadership of Howard University to build a program that will provide underrepresented students access to environmental education and generate a pipeline of capable talent for the future workforce,” said PSEG Foundation President Calvin Ledford.
Four Howard University undergraduates who demonstrate financial need will be provided scholarships in August 2022.
“We are grateful for the continued support from the PSEG Foundation,” said Rubin Patterson, Ph.D., dean of the Howard University College of Arts and Sciences. “We anticipate recipients of this scholarship becoming leaders in environmental science and justice and tackling rigorous environmental issues that directly impact their communities.”
