A big mazel goes out to The Real Housewives of New York City’s Eboni K. Williams. She recently received an honorary doctorate from Benedict College, where she gave the keynote address at the 2022 commencement convocation on Friday, May 6.
Eboni posted photos from the graduation ceremony and reflected on the experience: “It’s my privilege and my honor to be the latest addition to the Benedict College Family. I was thrilled to provide the keynote address at the 152nd commencement ceremony.”
She then shared a note for the new graduates: “To the Benedict College Class of 2022, YOU ARE QUALIFIED!! Dr. Eboni K. Williams.”
Eboni closed out the caption with a few thank-yous: “Special thanks to Madam President [Roslyn Clark Artis], The Benedict College Board of Trustees, and my fellow Honorary Doctorate Recipient, Rev. Dr. Jesse Jackson.”
Artis, the college’s president, also shared her excitement about Eboni being present for the ceremony. “Thank you Dr. Eboni K. Williams for a powerful commencement address! Welcome to the Benedict College Family!” she wrote.
Eboni has been keeping busy lately with a number of interesting projects. She was recently a co-host on The View and also appeared on the reality series Beyond the Edge. In addition, she was also nominated for a 2022 Webby Award for her podcast, Holding Court with Eboni K. Williams.
“Webby Award Nominee. Thrilled to announce that Holding Court is nominated for the 2022 Webby Award for Best Podcast in News [and] Politics. As the only woman [and] only Black woman nominated in the category….I’m particularly humbled,” she wrote about the nomination, adding, “P.S. I told ya’ll I was coming for EVERYTHING.”
Also, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this year, Eboni gave an update on what her life has been like since finding her biological father and siblings, which was a journey she first shared on RHONY.
