The Women’s Business Center at Alcorn, or WBC, is partnering with one of the world’s leading financial institutions to provide essential information to entrepreneurs.
Regions Bank and the WBC will host the Next Step Financial Wellness Certification 7 Part Series webinar beginning Tuesday, June 28, and will continue through December.
Donna Medina, vice president and financial wellness Next Step financial educator with Regions Bank, will be the instructor. Medina began her career at Regions in Alabama over 30 years ago while completing her degree in business at the University of Mobile. Currently, she provides virtual Next Step Financial Wellness events for companies and organizations across multiple states.
Daye Dearing, director at the WBC, explained the series’ purpose and how it can benefit new and seasoned business owners.
“The series offers a wide range of resources designed to help people make smarter, more informed business decisions while empowering them to achieve personal and professional goals,” said Dearing. “Whether you’re a beginning entrepreneur or managing a large organization, the series provides guidance, tools, and resources for your business. I am thrilled that we are partnering with Regions Bank to provide this training and education to our clients.”
Dearing also talked about the certificate earned at the end of the training and what completing the series could do for the business owner.
“The series teaches financial wellness resources needed to secure the financial future of your business. At the end of the series, you will receive a certificate documenting your program completion. The certificate can become part of your business credentials, showing readiness, education, and achievement.”
