Tuskegee University raises $50,000 for Giving Tuesday and nearly $140,000 in donations for Homecoming 2022

Tuskegee University alumni, friends, and community members answered the call to be #OneTuskegee during the annual Giving Tuesday campaign held on November 29. The campaign raising nearly $56,441.41, will support the efforts of Tuskegee University’s scholarship funds and project initiatives.

The 2022 campaign focused on five specific areas of need: The Charlotte P. Morris Endowed Scholarship Fund, Global Education, Community Service Initiatives, The New Scoreboard for the Football Stadium, and Fraternity and Sorority Scholarship Funds.

“We are truly grateful to have the support of our alumni, campus community, and others that believe in the mission of supporting the university and our students,” said Kymberly Holland, coordinator of Alumni Affairs and Reunion Programs. “We know that these financial gifts tremendously impact our student’s success.”

In addition to gifts designated for Tuskegee, during this year’s 2022 Homecoming Convocation, reunion classes brought in a total of $143,003.68. The combined class total included donations from the Class of 1987, raising $60,000; the Class of 1922, paying it forward with $33,009.24, the Class of 19997, donating 12,072.34, Class of 2002, generating 13,586.12; the Class of 2007 bring in 12,112.72, Class of 2012 giving $4,604.40, and the Class of 2017 investing $2,618.86 to Mother Tuskegee.
