Clark Atlanta University’s Art and Fashion Department will host its 8th Annual Art and Fashion Week, April 10th – 14th, a 5-day forum consisting of several interactive events where industry professionals discuss topics related to art, fashion, media, and design.
This year, Clark Atlanta University students can participate in virtual and in-person sessions with major global retailers and fashion manufacturers. Events open to the public include the Styling Competition and the Fashion Show.
“We are so excited for our 8th Annual Art and Fashion Week here in Clark Atlanta University’s Art and Fashion Department. As the interim chair of the department, I have the distinct pleasure of working with some of the most amazing retailers in the country,” said Professor B.J. Arnett. “I cannot thank them enough: Puma, Macy’s, American Eagle, Levi, and Harlem’s Fashion Row and all of their VPS who have done more than support our amazing scholars. They have mentored, done Zoom talks, workshops, and interviews, and placed our students on some of the highest rungs of their corporations. We are celebrating this 8th year with some of the best.”
Students will have the opportunity to participate in panel discussions, speed interviews, and portfolio reviews throughout the week to familiarize themselves with the industry and its rudiments.
