Clark Atlanta University Hosts Robert H. ‘Bob’ Bell Day in honor of former Georgia Senator, entrepreneur, philanthropist, family man and long-time Clark Atlanta University supporter. The day will include a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Robert H. ‘Bob’ Bell / House of Cheatham Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development.

The event will take place on today, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Thomas W. Cole, Jr. Research Center for Science & Technology Environmental Science Building.

Mr. Bell the founder of the House of Cheatham, a manufacturer of multicultural hair care brands such as Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils and Africa’s Best, will be remembered, and honored throughout the day’s activities.  During graduation in 2021 the Bell family and the House of Cheatham donated $3 million to Clark Atlanta University in Bell’s honor.  The donation helped to fund the Robert H. ‘Bob’ Bell / House of Cheatham Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development and will be used to provide much needed resources for CAU scholars.
