The Jingle & Mingle Holiday Social at Dillard University  brings together the university community for a year-end celebration.

President Dr. Ford emphasizes the community’s role at the university. “Each and everyone of you, you are the light of Dillard University,” she says. “Encourage each other to keep our lights on, so that in 2024, we will be back stronger and better than ever before.”

Rev. Karli Pidgeon, Board of Trustees member and District Superintendent of the United Methodist Church, supports the university’s future. “Excited to be here with you all,” Pidgeon states, “the trustees are here for you and the students. We are standing with you, walking alongside you as we grow and develop.”

The social, coordinated by Michelle Matthew, the Holiday Social Committee, and Auxiliary Services, showcases festive decorations and a diverse menu, including desserts and a grilled alligator dish. Scott Price’s team and the Sodexo staff oversee the event’s dining aspects.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees Michael Jones, in a message, acknowledges the university staff’s hard work: “Although we are not all able to be with you, each of you is a valued member of the Dillard University family, and your hard work this past year has not gone unnoticed by the Board.”

As 2023 concludes, we at Dillard University send our happiest holiday wishes to our faculty, staff, students, and families. We invite everyone to carry the festive spirit of this season into the new year.
