Tuskegee University is excited to announce significant renovations to Adams Hall and Olivia Davidson Hall as part of its commitment to enhance the student on-campus experience.

Tuskegee University is set to complete the extensive renovations of Adams Hall and Olivia Davidson Hall by the fall of 2024 and will share ongoing updates. These historical buildings, integral to the university’s heritage, are poised to enter a new era. Olivia Davidson Hall, named after the second wife of the university’s founder, Booker T. Washington, has been a beacon of female empowerment and education since its establishment. Lewis Adams Hall, reflecting the university’s growth, has long stood as a symbol of academic and residential life on campus.

This project reflects the university’s dedication to providing state-of-the-art living facilities that exceed modern comfort, safety, and academic success standards. The renovation, which began on January 2nd and will conclude on August 15th, showcases the university’s proactive approach to student welfare and academic excellence.

Adams Hall, which spans over 52,000 square feet, will offer 152 beds, while Olivia Davidson Hall will provide 146 beds within its 38,828 square feet. The $44 million project, funded by Rice Capital Financial and the U.S. Department of Education, transforms traditional dormitory spaces into contemporary 2-bed and 4-bed suite-style units, complete with new amenities such as classroom/study areas, laundry facilities, shared rooms, and a post office.
