āSince its founding, UDC Law has stood out as a place where the law is taught not only as a profession, but as a powerful tool for community change,ā says UDC Law Interim DeanĀ Angela Gilmore. āThis ranking reflects the dedication of our students, faculty, staff and alumni who continue to advance access to justice and expand the reach of legal services in the communities that need them most.ā
UDC Law is known for its deep commitment to experiential education and features one of the largest clinical requirements in the country. This national recognition is a testament to the transformative education we offer at UDC Law.ā
AĀ 2018 reportĀ by Gallup and Association of American Law Schools found that undergraduates most often cite āpublic-spirited factorsāāsuch as a desire to work in politics, government or public serviceāas a top reason for considering law school. Other leading factors include a passion for the work, the opportunity to give back and a commitment to advocating for social change. These are the same ideals that define UDC Lawās mission and shape the student experience.
UDC Law is also one of the most accessible and affordable law schools in the nation. More than 90% of students receive financial aid or scholarships, and the school offers both full-time and part-time evening programs, making UDC Law a standout choice for those seeking to build careers in service of the public good.
