Winston-Salem State University alum, Rajah Caruth, won the NASCAR Truck Series in Nashville, TN. Rajah Caruth has earned his first victory of the 2025 season and just the second of his career, fending off both Corey Heim and Layne Riggs in the closing laps at Nashville. Driving the No. 71 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, Caruth grabbed the lead on pit road at the endof the second stage. The driver made the most of what his pit crew did for him, never surrendering the race lead.
While Caruth never lost the lead in the final 47-lap run, Heim certainly came close as he got to the outside of him with just six laps to go. Caruth ran him high and Heim chose to lift. From that point onward, he had his hands full with Riggs in the battle for second and never got back alongside Caruth. In the second win of his career, it ended a 31-race winless streak for Caruthand the No. 71 Chevrolet Silverado as Caruth held off Corey Heim and Layne Riggs, who came in second and third, respectively.
During the hotly contested race, Caruth took the lead on pit road at the end of the second stage and never surrendered it, leading the final 51 laps 0.518 seconds ahead of Heim and 0.629 seconds ahead of Riggs. The victory is the ninth win in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series forSpire Motorsports, with Caruth becoming just the third driver to earn multiple victories for theorganization in the NASCAR Truck Series, along with Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch.
