Images of an all-new Air Max 95 honoring Spelman College emerged online, indicating that Nike’s next Yardrunner pack, a series celebrating HBCUs, would focus on the Sergio Lozano-designed silhouette. Well, it didn’t take long for the rest of the collection to appear, as we now have a full look at the four HBCU Nike Air Max 95s slated for 2025.
Spanning across the nation, the latest Nike Yardrunner collection features colorways for Spelman College, FAMU, Morehouse, and Norfolk State. Three of the four schools were previously honored by Nike in the Yardrunner series: Spelman, FAMU, and Morehouse on the Terminator and Dunk Low.
Each pair in this new Air Max 95 collection features the traditional gradient finish on the midfoot panels, with a faux animal print used on the top layer to represent each school’s mascot. Spelman’s jaguar print is done in the school’s blue hue, FAMU’s faux rattlesnake skin is rendered in green, and Morehouse’s tiger stripes come coated in red.
However, Norfolk State, lacking an animal mascot (their mascot is Mr. Spartan), opts for a solid green suede instead. Logos for the schools are found on the tongue tag and insole, while the year of their founding is placed below the emblem on the tongue. Final details include nods to school mottos and phrases on the medial collar and tonal big bubble Air Max 95 midsoles.
The 2025 Nike Yardrunners Air Max 95 Collection will release Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190 for each pair.
