Written By Lexx Thornton

Lincoln University of Pennsylvania—the nation’s first degree-granting Historically Black College and University (HBCU)—through its Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP), is pleased to invite you and your institution to participate in the upcoming 1st National HBCU Symposium: Digital Innovations in Enhancing Teaching Effectiveness & Student Learning Outcomes.

This inaugural symposium is part of our ongoing efforts under the Connecting Minority Communities (CMC)/National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Grant to foster collaboration among HBCUs and minority-serving institutions.

The goal of the symposium is to highlight and share innovative digital tools, pedagogical strategies, and evidence-based practices that strengthen teaching effectiveness and promote equitable student outcomes in higher education. This event offers an excellent opportunity to:

  1. Explore strategies and tools that enhance teaching and learning
  2. Exchange ideas with colleagues from across the country
  3. Learn about innovative practices that advance student success

We are especially reaching out to academic leaders, chief information officers, faculty, instructional designers, and student success professionals from HBCUs institutions involved in implementing educational technology to attend the symposium and/or deliver a brief presentation or demonstration of best practices in teaching and learning using technological tools—whether within a specific discipline or across multiple fields.

Please find attached the event flyer, along with the symposium website containing detailed information about the event and guidelines for participation. We would be delighted to have your involvement—whether in person or virtually—and encourage early registration to assist with planning and coordination.
