North Carolina A&T’s Taylor And Wyche Take National Stage In HBCU Swingman Classic On Friday

 North Carolina A&T baseball standouts JT Taylor and Bruce Wyche will have the opportunity to shine on a national stage as participants in the 2026 HBCU Swingman Classic on Friday night at Citizens Bank in Philadelphia.

The 7 p.m. game will be televised on MLB Network to kick off Major League Baseball All-Star game festivities. Taylor will be a member of the National League squad coached by Phillies’ legend Jimmy Rollins and Wyche will compete for the American League team coached by MLB veteran Rickie Weeks.

Taylor started 46 games as an infielder for the Aggies in 2026. He batted .258 with 10 doubles, four homers, 39 runs scored and 22 RBI’s.

Wyche earned honorable mention All-CAA honors in 2026 after starting 51 games in the outfield. He batted a team-best .333 with 16 doubles, four homers, 33 runs scored and 35 RBI’s.

The fourth annual HBCU Swingman Classic features 50 of the top HBCU players from across the nation and highlights the history and legacy of HBCU baseball programs.
