Alabama A&M University is bringing a gospel legend to The Hill for Homecoming. The institution announced that Kirk Franklin is set to headline the university’s 2026 Homecoming Night of Gospel, giving Bulldogs another reason to look forward to one of the biggest weeks of the year. The Grammy Award-winning artist will bring his decades-long catalog of gospel hits to Huntsville as Alabama A&M kicks off its annual Homecoming celebration.
Known for blending gospel with R&B and hip-hop, Franklin has spent more than three decades helping push gospel music into the mainstream while creating songs that have become staples across Black churches, families, and communities. Now, he’s bringing that energy to one of HBCU culture’s biggest traditions: Homecoming.
Joining Franklin on the gospel concert lineup are award-winning gospel artist Todd Dulaney and Alabama native Dante’ Pride. Before becoming one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary gospel music, Dulaney pursued a career as a professional baseball player.
He eventually stepped away from the sport to pursue his calling in ministry and music, building a successful career as a gospel recording artist. Songs including “Victory Belongs to Jesus,” “Your Great Name,” and “The Anthem” have helped Dulaney earn multiple No. 1 releases on Billboard’s gospel charts and establish himself as a standout voice in modern worship music.
Pride will bring some home-state representation to the Night of Gospel lineup. The Alabama native is a pastor, Christian hip-hop artist, and motivational communicator who uses music and storytelling to share his faith and connect with audiences across generations.
