Several prestigious college listings throughout the world, including U. S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review, continue to recognize Hampton University.

The 2023 edition of The Princeton Review’s listing of best colleges again named Hampton University a “Best College.” The publication also named the University a “Best Southeastern College” and recognized it as “one of the world’s top historically black universities, offering students a progressive education in business, the sciences, and the liberal arts. This ‘school of tradition, family values, and excellent education’ is well-known for its focus on STEM programs, its five-year MBA program’ and for proudly ‘forcing its students to be at the top of their game.’” For more than 40 years, The Princeton Review has been a trusted resource for parents and students choosing a college or university. The Best 388 Colleges rankings are based on ratings from actual students.
U.S. News & World Report has released its 2022-2023 Best Colleges report and Hampton University is ranked as a top school in several categories. Hampton University is ranked as a top six institution among Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the latest rankings. Hampton is recognized as one of the Best Undergraduate Computer Science Programs, a Top Performer in Social Mobility and as a National University. U.S. News & World Report provides nearly 50 different types of numerical rankings and lists to help students narrow their college search.
