Hampton University is thrilled to announce that Clayton Bond, a distinguished alumnus and Senior Advisor for Diplomatic Fellowships at Howard University’s Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 49th Annual Honors Day ceremony on Saturday, April 6th, at 1:30 pm in Ogden Hall.
Clayton Bond ‘98, an Honors College graduate at Hampton University, brings a wealth of experience and insight to this prestigious occasion. As a leader in international affairs and academia, Bond’s address promises to inspire and empower students as they continue their academic journey.
“We are honored to welcome back Clayton Bond to his alma mater as the keynote speaker for our 49th Annual Honors Day,” said Hampton University President Darrell K. Williams. “His accomplishments since graduating from our “Home by the Sea,” exemplify the excellence and leadership we strive to instill in all of our students.”
Honors Day at Hampton University is a time-honored tradition that celebrates the academic achievements of students within the Freddye T. Davey Honors College. The event includes the presentation of departmental awards for academic excellence, Honor Society Awards for Excellence, Honor Roll recognition, the Edward L. Hamm, Sr. Distinguished Teacher award, and the Provost’s Award for Innovative Teaching. Additionally, the prestigious President’s Cup Award will be bestowed upon a deserving student.
