Spelman College Students Win $1 Million Grand Prize for Second Time at Goldman Sachs Market Madness Competition

Courtesy of Spelman College Spelman College students won the $1 million grand prize during the third annual Goldman Sachs Market Madness competition on April 24, 2023. The winning team included students Victoria Woodward, Princess Dandoo, Gabrielle Smith, Havelin Autry, and Madison Porter. Spelman students also won first place during the inaugural competition in 2021 and won second place in 2022. Team member Princess Dandoo, C’2025, described securing a victory for Spelman as the epitome of being “undaunted by the fight.” She explained that the team faced a variety of challenges, from reshaping their initial ideation to changing their presentation days

By Shannon Dawson Morgan State University will become the only historically Black college or university (HBCU) to offer Division I wrestling, all thanks to the hard work of Jahi Jones and legendary pro-wrestler Kenny Monday. The event – which coincides with National Library Week, observed April 23-29 this year – will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the seminar room at the library, 1601 E.
