Dr. Azad joined Hampton University in 2008 as assistant professor of pharmacy and quickly rose through the ranks to chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2014. She attained full professorship in 2019. Delaware State University Women’s Volleyball Team wins MEAC Championship

For the first time in nearly four decades, Delaware State is volleyball champion of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The third-seeded Hornets defeated top seed Coppin State 3-1 (25-11, 19-25, 25-15, 25-16) in a raucous Memorial Hall Gym Nov. 20 evening in front of a live ESPNU audience to win the MEAC Volleyball Tournament and garner their  first-ever NCAA Championship bid. The University’s Women Volleyball Team (24-6) will find out their national playoff opponent when the NCAA Selection Show airs Sunday, Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

Coppin State University Announces $3.7 Million Federal Grant Award to Support Diverse Educators in Maryland

The grant will be used to support Coppin’s Pathways to Professions (P2P) initiative over the next five years.
