SC State Settles Lawsuit With Ex-Coach Audra Smith

By Katie Kamin A former women’s basketball coach at South Carolina State University has gotten hundreds of thousands of dollars from South Carolina’s Insurance Reserve Fund after she sued the school and its former athletic director earlier this year. In the lawsuit filed in March of 2022, former coach Audra Smith accused SC State and former Athletic Director Stacy Danley of breach of contract, defamation and negligent hiring and retention, among other complaints. Hampton Launches Investment Program for Freshman Class

Ed Reed to Become Head Football Coach at Bethune-Cookman

Fisk University Receives $1.5M for Nursing Scholarships

This gift is part of the organization’s larger commitment to give $10 million over three years to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs).
