Morehouse College Receives $1 Million Endowed Scholarship Gift from Diageo North America

By Morehouse College Beverage leader Diageo North America has donated $1 million to Morehouse College, the nation’s only historically Black liberal arts college dedicated to educating men, to create a permanent endowment fund that will provide scholarships for talented students. The gift is part of a national initiative by Diageo to establish endowed scholarships at 25 HBCUs and will help Morehouse move additional highly-prepared graduates into the ranks of corporate leaders, innovators, and decision-makers. FAMU Among HBCUs To Receive National Trust African American Cultural Heritage Action Funding

By Morehouse College The Heising-Simons Foundation has announced that Morehouse Visiting Professor of Journalism and Leadership Studies David Dennis, Jr., and Michelle García are the recipients of the 2021 American Mosaic Journalism Prize, which includes an unrestricted cash prize of $100,000 for each. Harris Teeter to Partner with Howard University to Combat Food Insecurity

The supermarket chain has committed to donate $50,000, payable over five years.
