Wake Tech, NC A&T Partner to Boost Tech Education Pipeline

By Jackie Torok Wake Tech and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University today signed a technology education partnership agreement to foster new degree completion and career development opportunities for students in information technology and biotechnology programs. FVSU Awarded $1.4M NSF Grant to Boost STEM Student Success

Courtesy of Fort Valley State University Fort Valley State University has been awarded $1,399,964 from the National Science Foundation Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program to increase the number of low-income, academically talented students who earn degrees in STEM fields. The grant will also help with recruitment, retention and graduation in the Math program at FVSU. Project funded will diversify the number of graduates with STEM degrees, particularly in mathematics. FSU Launches BFS Care Closet to Support Student Wellness

Lincoln University Expands Ag Facilities for Hemp Research

Busby Farm, both located near its Jefferson City campus. The new facilities will help advance the LU College of Agriculture’s industrial hemp research and strengthen LU undergraduate and graduate student education. Howard Joins ODNI Program to Grow Diverse Intel Workforce

By Brittany Bailer Howard University is one of the newest members of the Intelligence Community Centers for Academic Excellence (IC CAE) program at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), an initiative to prepare and hire the next generation of diverse and qualified intelligence professionals. The University of Kansas, the University of New Hampshire, and Saint Louis University join a network of more than 80 colleges and universities in the IC CAE program as lead universities, each bringing a consortium of schools to the program that will also enjoy the benefits of IC CAE membership, to include funding.
