ASU Hornets
Founded in 1987 as the Lincoln Normal School at Marion by “The Marion Nine”, a group of freed slaves looking to build a school for black students, the now Alabama State University is located in Montgomery, Alabama.
ASU was the nation’s first state sponsored liberal arts institution for the higher education of blacks and is also a member school of the Thurgood Marshal College Fund.
