Lawson State Community College

Established in 1949, Lawson State Community College (Lawson State), formed from the merger of Wenonah State Technical Institute and Wenonah State Junior College, is a historically black community college in Birmingham and Bessemer, Alabama. 

The official colors of the college are Navy Blue and Gold and the college is popularly nicknamed LSCC, Lawson State or Lawson.
