Our Inspiration – James Long, 10/20/1933 – 06/12/2012
We launch on his birthday to remember a man that stood for excellence in everything that he accomplished. A student of the Kings English, he was a writer, editor and loved the written word. In so many ways, he showed us how to be the best. Whether in his early career as Army Special Forces or as an English teacher, he was complex and a sheer force of nature. HBCU News will be all these things.
Thank you for the pure inspiration Dad. Your legacy lives on through HBCU News and our ability to tell the stories of the black community.
