James Physical Education Complex from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Moore, the wife of the state’s first Black Governor, Wes Moore, is a philanthropist, community organizer, and campaign strategist. She has over 20 years of experience in government relations and fundraising and is an ardent supporter of the arts and empowering women. By Andrew Skerritt Florida A&M University (FAMU) Homecoming 2023 reached a fitting finale with the Rattlers clinching the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Division following its 45-7 victory over Prairie View A&M University on Saturday, Oct. 28. Most of the sell-out Bragg Memorial Stadium crowd were in a festive mood as the new scoreboard flashed the championship news.  With the win, FAMU will play in the SWAC Champion game against the SWAC West Division champions on December 2. MIT Alum Donate $500K For FAMU Engineering Student Scholarships

Yeboah, Ph.D., have donated $215,000 of their $500,000 pledge to provide expendable and endowed scholarships for Florida A&M University engineering students. Leslye Fraser earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from MIT before going on to study law. She is a retired U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) environmental appeals judge. She met fellow chemical engineering student Darryl Fraser at MIT. Dr. Frank Jones created the My Black Doctors Directory. According to its website, research shows Black patients thrive when their doctors look like them and have similar life experiences.
