By Morehouse College Students from Morehouse College won 3rd place and a $10,000 grant at the 2022 HBCU Battle of the Brains in Austin, Texas. HBCU Battle of the Brains is a 24-hour hackathon dedicated to providing resources and job opportunities to business and STEM majors from historically Black colleges and universities. By Jackson State University Rep. Angela Cockerham, an alumna of Jackson State University, is the author of the recently passed equal pay protections bill. Cockerham, who is also chairwoman of House Judiciary A, authored the bill to provide employees protection from gender-based pay inequities.
